Public safety - police specialty

Graduates are distinguished by specialist knowledge in the field of public safety. The studies prepare students to take preventive and intervention measures in the face of rapidly occurring social changes, unstable labor market, violence at school, pathology or unlawful use of ICT resources.

This specialty is addressed primarily to people who, after completing their studies, would like to start working in all structures of the state, local government and private entities ensuring the protection of the legal order and national property, life and health of citizens and their private property.

During the course, students will acquire general knowledge of the functioning of the state, its administration and the foundations of law, as well as broadly understood interpersonal relations within various social groups. Understanding these issues allows you to understand the importance of basic knowledge in this area to ensure broadly understood public order. 

The targeted and pragmatic nature of the classes is no less important, among others. allowing for the analysis and evaluation of current sources for the security of modern society and the state in their course. Starting from those threatening life or health, and ending with threats to public safety due to the development of new technologies.

Knowledge, as well as cognitive and analytical skills obtained in this specialization will certainly be a great help for graduates to find employment in the Police, Municipal (Municipal) Guards, Railroad Guards, Forest Guards, etc. They can also be helpful in the recruitment process for other formations and services ensuring the security of the state and its citizens, e.g. secret services such as the Foreign Intelligence Agency, the Internal Security Agency, the State Protection Service, and the Military Police.

Of course, you should not forget to work in professional private companies that provide security and public order under applicable law.

step by step recruitment

1 step

Complete all required documents and deliver them to the Recruitment Office. You can do it: in person, via a third party, by traditional mail to the University's address (with the note Admissions Office),

2 step

Then you will receive a login and password for the Virtual Dean's Office (where you can find information about fees, class schedules, exam grades and important announcements).

3 step

If your documents are complete, you will receive admission decisions and then a contract to sign, which will detail the study conditions.

4 step

When your folder is ready, you'll get to sign the Oath. You will receive your ID and from that moment you will become a full-time WSHiU student!
